COLDCARD (Coinkite)
Firmware · 2021 code pathA 2021 firmware path used a software PRNG fallback instead of the hardware generator. Seeds were weaker than advertised. Attackers enumerated keys and drained wallets. Coinkite said it has to assume someone used AI on public firmware. Their own model pass weeks earlier missed the bug. After disclosure, models could rediscover the pattern quickly.
BTCPay Server
Versions before 2.4.2Versions before 2.4.2 let an unauthenticated attacker reach LND admin .macaroon credentials and control connected Lightning wallets. Funds were stolen. Bitcoin Red Team ran AI-assisted sweeps. BTCPay wrote that AI changed the attacker/defender balance. The exploited issue was also sneaky — a digest is not a substitute for a human reading blast radius.

Fiat comes in. It is converted and added to the bitcoin treasury. The viability of the company is measured on a bitcoin standard.

Invoices are billed in EUR. Every payment is converted automatically when it lands and added to the treasury. Nothing sits in a fiat account longer than it has to.
One unit of account
Runway, margin and reserves are counted in bitcoin. The price list stays in EUR so a client knows what a job costs; the ledger behind it does not.
Viability on a bitcoin standard
The studio's health is whether the treasury grows in bitcoin terms. A balance sheet that outlives any single contract, with no token, no yield product and nothing to sell you.
Quoted and invoiced in EUR. The standard is how NakaUnbound accounts for itself, not a condition on the client.
